Luxury Travel Show October 14th
Travel Mart August 13-20, 2010

Jim and Ange Wallace opened The Travel Agency in 1974 and have enjoyed all the amazing adventures since! Join them and hear many tales from all of their travels from Machu Picchu to Antarctica! Travel with the Wallaces and their friends on the Regent Seven Seas Navigator for a 10 night sailing in the Eastern Caribbean.
They will depart Fort Lauderdale January 7th, and returns to Fort Lauderdale on January 17th, 2011. This is a Virtuoso Voyage Club sailing which trans-lates to added amenities and shipboard credits! In addition to a great cocktail reception only for this group, you will visit great ports of call such as Tortola, St. Barts, Princess
Cays, Virgin Gorda, the Dominican Republic, Turks and Caicos and San Juan. If you are interested in join-ing this great group, please contact your travel advisor at The Travel Agency for pricing and availability.

Angela is happy to have the next generation of Travel Advisor! Meet Angela Shurley Pierson aka Ange. She is the 6th generation of Angela in our family. Eric and Angela are already looking at options for their first trip with baby Ange! They are planning to apply for her passport shortly so they can take her to their favorite international destinations.
Please share your favorite family friendly vacation with us via email or our Face Book page! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Amelia-Island/The-Travel-Agency/122982591058190?ref=ts
It is great to see what the most popular options are from your point of view.
Angela’s tip: Always plan your trip start date for the second day after a big event such as anniversary parties, weddings etc. This way, you are well rested and do not chance missing your flight! angela@thetvlagency.com

Ange returned from Virtuoso’s Symposium in Mexico City enthusiastic about all that Mexico has to offer culturally and historically. The Talted Aztec culture has been studied sufficiently to provide an amazing window looking back to a very
"mysterious" time in Earth’s development. The Anthropology Museum is world class and the archeological sites such as Temple Mayor and Teotihuacan are worth the trip alone. Add to those the Palacio of Bellas Artes, shopping and restaurants and
Mexico adds up to a nearby, world class vacation!
If you would like more details from Ange’s trip, or options for your own trip, please contact us!

Lynann traveled to South Africa in May on a bespoke Micato Safari! Micato has been chosen the #1 tour operator by Travel and Leisure Magazine for 8 years running! The trip began in Cape Town at the fabled TWELVE APOSTLE'S HOTEL. While in Cape Town,
Lynann spent one day enjoying the Cape Winelands. Notably she experienced a wine tasting at the renowned Delaire Graff Estate Wine Lounge in Stellenbosch and lunch at the Le-Quatier Francais at Franschhoek. Another day was devoted to a cultural tour of Cape Town including a food distribution to Rosies Kitchen in Khayelitsha. The third day found the group touring the Cape Peninsula including Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach and lunch at the Seaforth Restaurant. After an inspection tour of THE ONE AND ONLY HOTEL, dinner was served at their Maze Restaurant.
At last it was time to continue on into the "wilds of Africa"! Flying directly into Singita Airstrip, Lynann transferred to Singita Ebony Lodge. Lunch, afternoon tea and finally she was off on the first game drive! With four game drives at Singita, the animal encounters and amazing pictures were prolific. Lynann's new Canon G11 camera brought home photos of elephants, leopards, cheetahs, lions, giraffe, hyenas, rhino and wine tastings! After two nights at Singita and an inspection of The Boulders, Lynann transferred to Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge for two nights and more amazing game viewing.

Debbie enjoyed cruising on Azamara Club Cruises' "Journey" April 1-10!!! The smaller ship experience was superior - no lines EVER! The country club casual atmosphere and open seating for dining was relaxed and friendly. This also lent itself to great socializing between all of the passengers. The food was delicious and the entertain-ment was great! Debbie would like to be sure everyone is aware that Azamara's new pricing includes complimentary wine with lunch and dinner, all gratuities plus water, soft drinks, coffees and teas!
Call for information on some great specials including only 125% single supplement on most Europe 2010 sailings!
Debbie and Ad are also happy to share that their daughter, Sarah is marrying Adam September 25, 2010!

Tracy and her husband Kevin took some time off around the 4th of July holiday. Their 12 year old nephew from Ari-zona came to visit and they decided to stay close to home and keep their tourism dollars local. They visited Kennedy Space
Center for a full day of education and fun.
Next they spent a relaxing day floating down Ichetucknee Springs before coming back to Amelia Island. They visited the Jacksonville Zoo, spent long days at the beach playing in the sand,
sun and water, shopped on Centre Street and ate at local restaurants.
Tracy is now gearing up for a busy week at Travel Mart in Las Vegas August 13th - 20th. Ask her about Boot Camp!!

Carolyn is taking in the sights of New York City this with her granddaughters and daughter. They are staying at the Renaissance and are going to see Wicked. They will visit the World Trade Center, Staten Island, take a carriage ride through Central Park and enjoy GREAT cuisine! If you haven’t visited NYC in a while, Caro-lyn will attest to the fact it is
a GREAT getaway for some fun and culture in a BIG city that is quite a bit different than our peaceful Amelia Is-land.
Later in the month she will visit Savannah staying at the Westin Savannah Spa and resort. This is a gift from her two daughters for her birthday. Both of Carolyn’s sisters will accompany her
for this quick getaway. Carolyn is looking forward to this being a great and restful girls’ weekend! carolyn@thetvlagency.com

Meet our newest team member, Lisa Berchem!
After finishing her BA degree in International Studies and Communications at the University of North Florida and obtaining a Travel and Tourism certification from the Sawyer School of RI, Lisa began her extensive 15-year career in the Travel and Hospitality industry. She has multiple years experience as a retail Travel Agent and Agency Manager, servicing both leisure and corporate clients. In addition, Lisa brings 6 years of sales experience from the Omni Hotel working with a variety of specialty groups including military, educational and sports groups.
Lisa has traveled extensively through Eastern and Western Europe, the Caribbean and South America. Lisa ex-plored Peru in June. Previously, she traveled to Budapest and into Transylvania over Halloween, following the historic path of Vlad the Impaler. She also explored the mystical, medieval Dordogne Valley and the Southwest of France. She planned this as a fly/drive trip on her own with her travel companion. They started in Bordeaux and drove to Saint Emilion, Albi, Rennes le Chateau and onto Carcassonne, where they saw the best preserved fortified medieval city in Europe.
Some of Lisa’s favorite travel experiences include: Peru was among the most fascinating places She ever explored. Urubamba, Machu Piccu and Cusco are rich with history, culture and majestic beauty like none She had ever seen. Turkey was fascinating to me as well. It was an amazing experience spending time in Kusadasi, soaking up the cul-ture at local restaurants and shops. She especially enjoyed listening to a Symphony perform under the stars in The Great Theater in Ephesus, an ancient Roman/Hellenistic theater. lisa@thetvlagency.com
